Psychosynthesis Community Gathering
Psychosynthesis and Humanity in Transition: Reconnecting the Field
16-18 October 2026,
Vaughan Park Anglican Retreat & Conference Centre, Long Bay, Auckland
Join us for three days of connection, learning, and community with fellow practitioners and those interested in psychosynthesis. Set against the peaceful backdrop of Auckland’s coastline, the weekend includes a lineup of both in-person and online international and local presenters.
Speakers
We’re bringing together four remarkable voices from the psychosynthesis world:
Ann Gila (joining online) – Psychotherapist, author, and long-time faculty member at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology and the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London. Co-author of three foundational psychosynthesis texts with her late husband John Firman, and author of the memoir Stay Present and Love Him.
Dolma Beresford (in person) – An accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor based in North London, with a Master’s degree in psychosynthesis psychology. Through her private practice, Grow Therapy, Dolma has spent years helping people move through life’s biggest transitions – and its quieter moments of feeling stuck or without direction. She’ll share her approach to uncovering the deeper story behind personal distress, and making sense of life’s harder chapters.
Mark Skelding (in person) – Over 25 years guiding depth work through transpersonal psychology, somatic inquiry, ecopsychology, and will-centred transformation. Former NZ Institute of Psychosynthesis faculty, now chair of the Association for the Advancement of Psychosynthesis in North America.
Jennifer McGarry (in person) – Psychotherapist turned Dream Practitioner, with 20+ years of clinical experience and deep roots in dreamwork – NZ Representative for IASD and Vice President of DNANZ. Jeni has a lot to share.
